Increase in Prices of Oxo Derivatives Shipped in and after November

JNC CORPORATION (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO & President: Yasuyuki Gotoh) will increase the prices of oxo derivatives.

The price of domestic naphtha, which is the raw material of oxo derivatives, shows a strong rising trend due to the influence of steady demand for naphtha and low exchange rate of Yen.

The price of domestic naphtha is estimated to be around 44 thousand Yen/kL in the fourth quarter (October-December) in 2017, and to exceed 47 thousand Yen/kL in the first quarter (January-March) in 2018.  Moreover, the prices of distribution, utilities and auxiliary materials have risen, and we are in a situation where the rise in the prices of raw materials cannot be compensated solely by the efforts of our Company.

We are obliged to revise our prices in order to fulfill our obligation of providing a stable supply of products for customers in Japan, and will increase the prices by 25 Yen/kg or more for shipments on and after November 16th.

We will continue our sincere efforts in order to gain full understanding of our customers.
