Notice of Establishment of Subsidiary in Taiwan

JNC CORPORATION (CEO & President: Yasuyuki Gotoh, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) hereby announces the plan to establish a subsidiary in Taichung City, Taiwan and construct a plant for producing the coated fertilizer.

JNC Group's core business includes research & development, manufacture and sales of liquid crystal materials and organic EL materials which are essential to a highly information-oriented society. We also regard food, health, energy and environment as important subjects in view of global-scale changes such as the rapid increase in population, progress of aging in advanced nations and global warming.

JCAM AGRI. Co., Ltd. (President: Ichiro Ohira, head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) in charge of the fertilizer business of JNC Group has so far expanded the manufacturing and sales of fertilizers mainly in domestic markets with collaboration from the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations. In order to meet the demand for the coated fertilizer which is rapidly increasing in Korea, China and Southeast Asia, JCAM AGRI. Co., Ltd. will establish a subsidiary in Taichung City, Taiwan and construct a production plant. We will work on establishing a stable supply system for the coated fertilizer and expanding sales in overseas markets.

The coated fertilizer is produced by coating the fertilizer component with a coating material containing resin as the main component. This fertilizer can suitably control the release of the fertilizer component according to the growth pattern of the crop. Therefore, the coated fertilizer can save energy required for fertilization and reduce the environmental load by minimizing flow-out of the fertilizer component into soil and water.
