Increase in Prices of Butyl Acetate and Isobutyl Acetate

JNC CORPORATION (CEO & President: Michio Morita, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will increase the prices of butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate.

The prices of acetic acid and domestic naphtha, which are the main materials of butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate, are at high levels due to the influence of high crude oil prices and low exchange rate of Yen.

Despite the additional rise in the prices of utilities and auxiliary material, JNC has strived to cut costs.  However, we are in a situation where the steep rise in the prices of raw materials cannot be compensated solely by the efforts of our Company.

We are obliged to revise our prices in order to fulfill our obligation of providing a stable supply of products to customers in Japan, and will increase the prices by 15 Yen/kg or more for products delivered on and after October 1^st.

We will continue our sincere efforts in order to gain full understanding of our customers.
