Notification of Halal Certification

JNC’s polylysine has obtained Halal certification from the Japan Halal Association (JHA).
 Registration No.: 0100-01137545
 Company No. : 13N2290626

With this certification, we are now able to offer polylysine with greater confidence as a material that complies with international Halal standards in Islamic markets, particularly in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Taking this Halal certification as a starting point, we will sequentially proceed with the registration of polylysine as a food additive in each country, and further expand our business in the Southeast Asian market.

Polylysine is a cationic peptide composed of the amino acid L-lysine, and it exhibits excellent preservative and shelf-life extension properties in a wide range of foods.
For food applications, polylysine has been approved as a food additive in Japan, Korea, the United States, and China. It can be used in a variety of products such as cooked rice, seasonings, prepared foods, noodles, and confectionery, contributing to shelf-life extension and quality stability through effective microbial control.
Another key feature is that it has minimal impact on taste and flavor, helping to preserve the original deliciousness of foods. Since only a relatively small amount is required, it provides an excellent balance between quality maintenance and cost.

Furthermore, polylysine is regarded as a “highly safe ingredient” and is widely used not only in foods but also in cosmetics, personal care products, and hygiene-related products.
It can also be used as a processing aid and in applications that do not fall under the category of food additives.
Through the acquisition of Halal certification, these applications can now be considered with greater assurance in Islamic markets as well.

By obtaining Halal certification, we are now able to offer a broader range of solutions for non-food applications that meet Halal requirements to customers in regions where Halal compliance is essential.
As the population of Muslims continues to grow, Halal compliance is becoming increasingly important in global business.
JNC will continue to respect the laws and regulations of each country and region, and will work to further expand registrations as a food additive.
Through these efforts, we will strengthen our presence in high-growth markets, particularly in Southeast Asia.
By providing products with high levels of safety, functionality, and stable supply, we aim to strongly support our customers’ product development and market expansion.
