TOILETRIES |ε-Polylysine active in toiletry products
ε-Polylysine can be used in sanitary products such as disinfectant detergents and wet wipes. Compared to petrochemical-derived ingredients, it is hypoallergenic and exhibits excellent bacteriostatic effect. By adding ε-Polylysine in wet wipes, you can reduce the amount of alcohol used. Furthermore, ε-Polylysine can be added to toiletry products to make them alcohol-free, paraben-free, and phenoxyethanol-free. It can also be suitably used for sanitary products for infants, such as baby wipes, which are concerned about the smell of alcohol and irritation to skin. ε-Polylysine is a natural product derived from an amino acid that is also used in food, so it is possible to develop sanitary products that are safe for infants.
Sterilization effect of wet wipes using ε-Polylysine
A test was conducted in accordance with the "Sterilization performance test method for wet wipers" stipulated by the Japan Hygiene Products Industry Association (JHPIA). Even when ε-Polylysine was used alone, a high sterilization effect was obtained by wiping.
