Purpose of inspection

 HACCP requires process control, and the fallen bacteria test is effective in controlling the manufacturing process.

Inspection method

1) Leave the cover film open for a specified time at the inspection site as below. Fallen bacteria will be captured on the MC-Media Pad.

2) Add 1 ml of sterilized saline onto this MC-Media Pad, close the cover film.

3) Put this MC-Media Pad into incubator, incubate at the temperature and time specified for each product.

4) Count the number of colonies according to interpretation of each product.

 MC-Media Pad is designed to perform at the addition of 1 mL sample solution. If fallen bacteria are captured onto MC-Media Pad after addition of sterilized saline, evaporation of liquid can make accurate counting of colonies difficult. Be sure to add 1 mL sterilized saline after capturing of fallen bacteria.
