1) Wash table for testing and your hands to prevent contamination from the operating environment.
2) Open the aluminum bag and take out the required number of the pads. Don't expose to sunlight or ultraviolet light.
3) Unused pads are put in the aluminum bag, re-seal the opening with tape or clip.
Stored in this condition in cool (2-15°C) and dark place such as refrigerator, it can be uesd for up to 1 month after opening.
4) Open the cover film so that the entire test pad is exposed.
5) Suck up the sample solution with pipette or syringe, add it onto the center of test pad.
MC-Media Pad is designed to perform with addition of 1 mL solution, use of pipette is recommended.

6) Close the cover film, lightly pressed around the test pad with finger to seal with adhesive sheet.
7) Put this MC-Media Pad into incubator, incubate at the temperature and time specified for each product.

8) Take out the MC-Media Pad from incubator, count the number of colonies according to interpretation of each product. Use of marker can it accurate.
If the number offcolonies exceeds count range, dilute the sample solution to fit within count range.

9) The number of colonies means the number of microorganisms in 1 mL of added sample solution. Calculate the number of microorganisms in the sample from dilution ratio.
10) Put the used pad into heat resistant dust bag, dispose it according to local reguration after sterilization by autoclaving or boiling.
