Structure supporting trust|MC-Media Pad for microbiological testing

Detection structure supporting trust by original technology

MC-Media Pad consists of a culture medium containing reagents for detecting target microorganisms, a water-soluble polymer, and a non-woven fabric laminated medium pad, which is adhered onto an adhesive sheet to prevent moisture during culturing. It is a sheet-shaped medium with a structure covered with a transparent cover film printed with a lattice pattern to prevent the evaporation of water and to easily observe the growth of microorganisms.

The microorganism detection technology of "MC-Media Pad" is a fusion of JNC Corporation's excellent biotechnology and polymer processing technology, and we have applied for patents in major countries of the world.

  • Cover film
  • Fabric that automatically diffuses microorganisms

Demonstrates high quantification
and dispersibility of microorganisms

High quantification and dispersibility of microorganisms can be obtained because microbial colonies are formed on or near the surface of the non-woven fabric layer.

Diffusion of sample liquid throughout nonwoven fabric

Until microbial colonization

  1. 1

When the cover film is turned over and the sample solution is added to the medium part, the sample solution is diffused to the entire medium pad part due to the capillarity of the non-woven fabric, and the sample solution is retained.

  2. 2

The water in the sample solution dissolves the water-soluble polymer containing the medium components, and the medium is reconstituted.

  3. 3

The microorganisms trapped in the non-woven fabric grow using the reconstituted medium components and form colored colonies due to the chromogenic substance mixed with the medium components.
