2013 RC Activity Status

[motto]

"Safety Always"

[slogan]

【Evaluate hidden risk without overlooking to establish a “safe workplace” by all!!】

[Plant Focused Implementation Items]

1. Assured operation of risk management and activation of HHT proposals

We implemented proposal activities to clarify risk levels from risk assessment implemented in each division and proposed HHT to reduce inacceptable risk.

2. Thorough Hands-on Approach

Upon occurrence of occupational accidents and troubles, we encouraged returning to the site, which could be the key to solving the problems.

3. Support of Education to Cooperative Companies in the Plant

We held the Safety and Health Committee with cooperative companies in May and December to reinforce “report, communication and consultation” to clarify the education systems with the cooperative companies and to prepare the annual safety and health promotion plan for developing the education.

We took action for promoting RC activities to create a safe workplace with help from the Head Office and other Offices.

Comprehensive Disaster-Preparedness Drill

photo

We conducted a comprehensive disaster-preparedness drill in the entire Tobata Plant on January 16, 2014.
This drill is the fifth comprehensive drill including earthquake drill in the 2013 fiscal year.
The disaster prevention technique of the corporate members is further improved by the comprehensive disaster-preparedness drill, which covers the series of flow from the evacuation drill during occurrence of an earthquake to the fire-fighting drill during outbreak of fire caused by the earthquake.

Earthquake Experience Drill

On December 6, 2013, we conducted the earthquake experience drill in an earthquake experience car (Fire Training Center in Fire and Disaster Management Bureau) capable of reproducing the quake of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Disaster or the Great Kanto Earthquake, which recorded a quake of level 7 on the Japanese seismic scale.
Our disaster prevention awareness was improved by actually experiencing restricted movement in the quake during the great earthquake.
